We’re a law firm based in the North East of England.

We have offices in Newcastle upon Tyne, Hexham and Bellingham.

Founded in 1715, we hold the distinction of being the longest established family-run practice in the country.

We have a strong private client base and, since new partners Toby and Jane Gibson joined in 2003, we offer a niche commercial dispute resolution practice.

Most of this side of our business is London or overseas-based. Travelling isn’t an obstacle for us.

We receive a substantial amount of referral work from magic circle firms and regularly find ourselves facing major London law firms in our disputes.
