Claire graduated in 2006 with a first class honours in law. On graduating she won a prestigious award for her outstanding work in Intellectual Property.
Claire qualified in September 2009 having trained at a large firm in Newcastle. Upon qualification she moved to Gibson & Co.
During her training contract Claire spent a significant amount of time in the litigation department. She has experience in dealing with a variety of disputes including construction and engineering, property, contracting and sales fraud. To date Claire has reached the Court of Appeal twice with an employment matter and a restrictive covenant dispute. She also has experience in dealing with Adjudications, Arbitrations and Mediations.
Claire deals with a variety of cases for local, national and international clients concerning such issues as commercial contracts, professional negligence, construction and building disputes, personal injury, neighbour disputes, disputes over the ownership of and rights over property, contentious probate and banking.
Claire, who is originally from Northumberland, now lives in Gateshead.
Outside of work Claire enjoys running. She has taken part in the Great North Run and the Edinburgh marathon. Claire also enjoys travelling, playing badminton and is learning to play golf.
